It’s easy to walk into a room focused on what you’re going to do, and miss what the room actually needs. Even when everything on the surface is going well, it’s still possible to miss the people you’re leading, and the reason you’re leading them at all: to help them meet with Jesus, not just get through a set of songs. This session is about learning to read the room you’re in and lead it toward that, whether that room is a packed Sunday service, a small group in a living room, an outreach event, or a college dorm room.

What this session is about

This is specifically about serving the room: understanding what the people in front of you need, and leading in a way that meets them there and points them to Jesus. The why and the how both stay focused on that one thing. The why is the posture: choosing to serve rather than simply show what you can do. The how is the practical craft, shaped by that same posture, so the skills you build are always in service of the room you’re leading.

Who it’s for

Worship leaders at any stage, and in any kind of room, whether you’re still finding your feet, building confidence, want to get the fundamentals solid, or you’ve led for years. You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to be ready to grow.
